Who  said  musiccompos  are fair?  Not
the  organisers of The Party 3 anyway.
The  whole  compo was a joke and a big
shame  to  Amiga musicians who compose
great  tunes  just  to find that their
work never gets played.  But there are
some tunes that gets played, but these
are  jokes  and  bad techno-styles.  I
mean,   tune   no  19  in  this  years
competition was a real disgrace to all
Amiga  music,  and  I heard some other
tunes  wich  were  not  played  that I
became  fond  of  immidiately  when  I
heard    them.    Last   year,   great
musicians  like  Jogeir  Liljedahl and
Nhp  &  Bkh  were not selected for the
final  vote  and this year it was even
worse.   A  musiccompetition  CAN'T be
fair.   That's  a fact, but at least I
think  it can be more fair than it was
today!  Random selection is definitely
out  of  question,  since  Mr.Cool/The
Bests can compete with his 12 kb ST-01
tune when great musicians just have to
watch  (and  cry).   On  bigger events
where    there    are    hundreds   of
contributions,  there is no way to let
the  audience  hear  all of the tunes,
but the JURY should at least listen to
them.      It's     the    organisers'
responsabilities     to    make    the
competition   as   fair  as  possible.
Where  is  the  jury?   I think that a
¶list  of  all  jurymembers  should  be
published    on   the   bulletinboard.
Everybody  who  wants to, with a limit
ofcourse,  should  be allowed to be in
the   jury.    There   is  no  way  of
organising    a    competition   where
everybody  gets  satisfied, but I hope
in the future, that we get much better
compos.   Finally,  I just want to say
that this party is very well organised
and  that  the  musiccompo is the only
thing that can be complaint about.
